Lipps Island ist eine kleine felsige Insel, 0,37 km westlich von Litchfield Island vor der Südwestküste der Insel Anvers, vor der antarktischen Halbinsel. Lipps Island wurde vom Beratenden Komitee der USA für antarktische Namen (US-ACAN) für Dr. Jere H. Lipps benannt, Leiter (1971–1974) des US-amerikanischen Antarctic Research Program (USARP), das Studien über benthische Foraminiferen mit flachem Wasser durchführte und andere Organismen entlang der antarktischen Halbinsel, einschließlich dieses Gebiets. Lipps Island befindet sich in Arthur Harbor in der Nähe der Palmer Station des US-amerikanischen Antarctic Research Program.
